By working faithfully eight hours a day you may eventually get to be boss and work twelve hours a day. ~ Robert Frost
When you start a business everything has a level of enthusiasm. You and your team are picking out logo colors, writing content with vigor and bouncing around fresh and new ideas. Everything is exciting.
That first customer that signs up is a feeling that is like many firsts in its excitement, only heightened because this person is a stranger who signed up by finding you through the web for something you had a hand in building.
After a while the "new excitement" is replaced with a steady grind of hard work. Sometimes major milestones pass and get lost in the day to day. In our case, 1000 accounts passed a few months ago with little fan-fare...we were all too busy working towards greatness to celebrate.
I'm not even sure if my team knows...
There is no party, only a brief moment to appreciate what has been accomplished so far and an understanding of how much work is left to do to get where you want to go.
The sites are set a lot higher now. How do we get to 10,000 users?
Back to work.
I appreciate everyone who had a hand in our growth to this point. Thank you for believing in us and thank you for trusting us.
We will not let you down...ever.
