Big Announcement...Texting Base is ALIVE!!!

"It's moving. It's alive, it's moving. It's alive...It's alive...IT's ALIVE!!!!" ~Dr. Frankenstein

So this is my big announcement…many of you are right- I just had a baby but not the kind you were thinking. As of right now, Texting Base is officially launched! For those who don’t like to read, that’s it! Click on the link and see why it took so damn long and let me know what you think. Accounts are free. No credit card needed.

For those who like stories of craziness feel free to read on. http://www.textingbase.com

3 years and 3 months ago, I did one of the craziest things a human being can do…I ”started a software company with no money.” This might be an OK idea if I were a programmer but is absolutely insane if a person is NOT a programmer. I am not a programmer.

Building a piece of software takes design/programming skills, resources, time and money. If you have no design/programming skills, resources or money you have to be absolutely insane to go down that path. I’ve been called crazy a few times in my life, so I lived up to the reputation. Luckily I found other crazy people who believed in this vision.

Then, I did the second craziest thing a person could do with no resources or money…I decided to invent something that had never been done. Everyone knows what a “group text” is and how powerful “group texts” can be. We made it more powerful.

No one had built a “group texting” platform for businesses where no matter how many people were in the group, each recipient got their own personal message that they could respond to.

I wasn’t done with all my crazy decisions. We did the third craziest thing that could be done…decided we wanted to perfect the product instead of just getting something out the door. We decided ”to skip the lean startup, and build a beautiful product.” This is beyond insane and …we could have had over 2 years of revenues by now had we wanted a nice, simple product. We insisted we have the best product on the market by a large margin with functionality that major companies have not developed. It’s one thing to be crazy - it’s another to set an impossible goal.

6 months ago (October 15th) we were ready to launch Version 1, and realized we didn’t know jack s&*$ about the backend and couldn’t launch without a lot of work, I thought we were screwed.

Through a series of miracles that have made me reevaluate my place in the Universe and the existence of a higher power, I am pleased to announce Texting Base is finally out the door.

Without putting in your credit card, you can:

  • Create an account

  • Access the system

  • Upload contacts

  • Create groups

  • Evaluate whether I am crazy or onto something

This is a business tool. Individuals can use it, but please don’t tell individuals about it…I don’t want to have to deal with anyone I don’t know unless they are a larger user. If I try to support 10,000 individuals by myself, I will have a heart attack in 6 months.

My heart and soul went into a piece of software that I know for a fact will make lives better, save people time and make people money. I don’t want anyone pressured to sign up. Selling this is not my concern. I would like people to take a look at the product, provide feedback and refer anyone they think could use this product.

Thank you all for your support, and I look forward to doing many more seemingly insane things in the future!
